Transformative, Determined Leadership

Executive Coaching that Transforms
Leaders, Teams, and Organizations

Change Your World

The world has never had a greater need for transformative, determined leaders. "Transformative" has both an adjective form (a change in condition, nature, or character) and a verb form (transform: to revolutionize). "Determined" can also be an adjective (processing or displaying resolve) and a verb (firmly decide).

Transformative, determined leadership, then, is the resolve to revolutionize reality.

Or better yet,

Transformative, determined leaders
resolve to revolutionize reality.

About TDL

We envision a world made better by transformative determined leaders and teams. TDL is a collection of self-authorizing leaders dedicated to an executive coaching process of powerful change. We believe transformation begins within the leader and emanates throughout the organization. We cannot predict the future, but we can build the leaders and teams that create it.TDL is a three-step process: (1) Build the leader, who (2) builds the team, who (3) leads the change. We start with the leader because the one thing we know we can change is ourselves. When teams witness this transformation, they want to be a part of it and do something relatively unheard of—volunteer to change. When the leader and the team truly understand the change process, organizations, and the individuals within, thrive.

My leadership career in Higher Education spans twenty-eight years at four different universities. It is a career credentialed with two terminal degrees, including a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership. Despite all that experience, I can honestly share that I have learned more about leadership and myself as a leader during my time working with Mark McCoy than in all the previous years combined.

George Brown, Fine Arts Dean

Mark has taken the lessons he has learned over many years, from both successes and failures, and translated them into a leadership portfolio which not only helps leaders in terms of their own issues and challenges but also sets a tone of civility, respect and openness that is a far cry from what happens in most universities. It is a privilege to be a recipient of Mark’s lessons for transformative, determined leadership.

University President

D. Mark McCoy, Ph.D.

As chair, director, dean, managing partner, CEO, president and now executive coach, 40 years of leadership experience have led me to a profound purpose: to help you succeed. In homage to all of the coaches, mentors, friends and family that have helped build me, I am now committed to helping build others into the transformative, determined leaders the world needs.
